About Us - Management Structure

The Kenya Welfare Foundation (KWF) General Assembly is an active body that includes over 20 prominent members and associates. The Assembly meets annually to review work progress as well as approve audited financial statements and strategic issues. The 10-member Board of Trustees, elected by the General Assembly every three years, meets biannually to formulate policies and strategies of the Kenya Welfare Foundation (KWF) and to review its performance.

The Board oversees the Foundation’s activities through an elected Management Committee and active specialized committees for Programs and Projects, Resource Development, Information, Investment, and through technical committees. The committees are composed of Board members, executive and management staff and outside experts.

A strong executive team of over 20 professionals, supervised by the Director General, carries out the daily work of the Kenya Welfare Foundation (KWF) within the four departments of programs and projects, resource development, communication and media and finance and administration. Local experts and, on occasion, regional and international specialists, are called upon when needed to lend technical assistance.
